Maintenance Worker - citizenM - Miami

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work across the hotel (guest rooms and public areas)
• Handle painting, patching, and caulking to maintain appearance and functionality
• Troubleshoot and repair doors, locks, lighting fixtures, and minor electrical issues
• Complete basic plumbing repairs such as leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements
• Inspect building areas regularly and address maintenance issues proactively
• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
• Complete routine maintenance checklists (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Report larger repair needs or equipment failures to management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Interact professionally with guests and staff in a customer-facing hotel setting

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a hotel, condo, or similar facility
• Strong hands-on skills in general maintenance (painting, doors, lighting, plumbing)
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently
• Flexible, reliable, and willing to learn on the job
• Ability to work scheduled shift: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, including operational needs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift

Preferred:

• HVAC experience or technical training
• Experience working in hospitality or customer-facing environments
• Familiarity with maintenance tracking or inspection routines
