About the Role:

The MHT Full-Time position is a critical role focused on providing comprehensive mental health support to individuals in need. The primary goal is to assist in the assessment, treatment, and recovery of patients experiencing behavioral health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans and facilitate therapeutic interventions. The MHT will engage directly with patients to monitor their progress, provide emotional support, and promote positive behavioral changes. Ultimately, this position contributes to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall quality of care within the community.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic knowledge of mental health disorders and crisis intervention techniques.
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Mental Health Technician or equivalent credential.
  • Training in trauma-informed care and de-escalation strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patient observations and document behavioral changes accurately.
  • Provide direct support and crisis intervention to patients experiencing emotional or behavioral distress.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing training to enhance professional skills.
