At the Museum of Sex, the Guest Experience Supervisor drives the experience for each and every guest that visits the Museum’s galleries and Super Funland. The Supervisor works closely with the Operations Leadership Team to execute on the Museum’s goals of creating a guest-focused and fun culture, while keeping safety top of mind. The Supervisor manages a team of Leads & Associates.  

About the work (Primary Job Responsibilities) …  

  • Be an example of guest service excellence for the Guest Experience Associates and other departments 

  • Manage a team of Associates, by regularly communicating and monitoring operational goals and performance, as well as motivating the team to achieve business goals 

  • Report all guest complaints and staffing challenges to the Operations Leadership Team, as needed 

  • Handle operational challenges as they occur 

  • Lead employee engagement calendar, in conjunction with other operating department leadership 

  • Will be in rotation for department lead responsibilities (opening, running, and closing the guest experience department) and manager on duty for the Museum 

  • Support the Associate Location Manager with scheduling, recruitment, trainings, and other back of house duties as assigned 

  • Aid in the response to guests who have e-mailed in via our CRM platform 

  • Maintain appearance and functionality of galleries and Super Funland – partnering with the Associate Location Manager and Facilities department 

  • Be knowledgeable about the museum, its history, programs, and special events and effectively communicate this information to guests. 

  • Effectively communicate internal communications to team members such as policy and procedure changes, coaching, development, etc. 

  • Perform additional duties as required.

The noise level varies throughout the venue, some areas are very quiet while others contain reasonably high noise levels. There is ample lighting throughout the venue. There are no hazards and no protective devices worn or used in the office work environment.
