Borinquen Medical Centers is seeking to hire a full-time OBGYN physcian. The OBGYN will be responsible for diagnoses and will treat a variety of
diseases and injuries in general practice by performing the following duties.
 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Elicits and records information about patient's medical history. 
  2. Examines patient to determine general physical condition. 
  3. Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition. 
  4. Analyzes reports and findings of tests and of examination, and diagnoses condition. 
  5. Administers or prescribes treatments and drugs. 
  6. Inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases. 
  7. Advises patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease. 
  8. Provides prenatal care to pregnant women, delivers babies, and provides postnatal care to mother and infant. 
  9. Reports births, deaths, and outbreak of contagious diseases to governmental authorities. 
  10. Refers patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment. 
  11. Performs minor surgery.  
  12. Makes house and emergency calls to attend to patients unable to visit office or clinic. 
  13. Conducts physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage. 
  14. Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor as required. 


REQUIREMENTS 

  1. Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  2. State of Florida Medical License.   
  3. Ongoing BLS certification.  
  4. Must be Board Eligible or Certified in a primary care specialty. 
  5. Bilingual preferred. 
  6. Strong interpersonal skills. 
  7. Handle the information with high level of confidentiality.
