Reports to: Project Manager

Aeroservicios USA is a Miami-based provider of new and refurbished Ground Support Equipment (GSE), serving domestic and international airlines, commercial, cargo, regional, and charter as well as major ground handlers and FBOs. We operate a 110,000 sq. ft. maintenance facility and 150,000 sq. ft. of outdoor storage, supplying equipment through direct sales, leases, and short-term rentals, backed by quality maintenance services. 

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations within a metal structures manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage production execution while building foundational production controls, standard work, and reporting to support safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a developing environment, taking ownership, implementing structure, and collaborating cross-functionally to support growth and scalability.

Responsibilities:

Production Operations & Leadership

  • Direct and oversee daily activities across cutting, bending, assembly, welding (MIG/TIG/Laser), and finishing operations.
  • Assign tasks, supervise production staff, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Verify that finished components and assemblies meet dimensional tolerances, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate workflows, material usage, and equipment allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and guidance.

Process & System Development

  • Develop and implement production workflows, work instructions, and basic manufacturing procedures.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics (KPIs) and reporting practices, as these will be built as part of the role to support a growing operation.
  • Help define quality checkpoints, inspection standards, and documentation.
  • Support material flow processes and basic inventory controls in coordination with internal stakeholders.

Coordination & Cross Functional Support

  • Work closely with Project Management, Production, and cross-functional stakeholders to align drawings, specifications, priorities, and shop execution.
  • Provide input into future staffing needs for engineering, QC, and logistics as operations scale.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead practical Lean/5S implementation suitable for a developing production environment.
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities in processes, equipment usage, and material flow.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA or equivalent regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in metal fabrication, metal structures, or related manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, equipment, and production sequencing.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, read technical specifications, and use precision measurement tools.
  • Spanish required; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making in fast-paced or evolving production environments.
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, or similar continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience in metal fabrication/manufacturing preferred.
  • Engineering degree is not required; if not held, technical training and/or relevant fabrication experience is preferred.
