Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Professional Biller to join our Patient Accounts team. The Professional Biller will be responsible for the accurate and timely billing of medical claims, follow-up on unpaid accounts, resolving billing issues, and ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare billing regulations and payer requirements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing & Coding, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional medical billing experience required, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Commercial Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation billing guidelines.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing systems preferred.
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards.
- Strong understanding of insurance claim processing and denial management.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification preferred.
