POSITION TITLE: Receptionist

LOCATION: Ottawa County District Attorney Office - Miami

STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Immediate Opening

CLOSING: Open Until Filled

SALARY: $34,000 – $37,000 annually

BENEFITS: Full State of Oklahoma benefits, including generous monthly allowance for health coverage, paid sick and vacation leave earned monthly.  Paid holidays.

POSITION SUMMARY: The receptionist shall work under the direction of the Lead Advocate/Training Coordinator. The receptionist will greet visitors, answer phones, complete intakes, assist in preparing files for court. We are looking for candidates with sound work ethic and an interest in public service.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately
  • Answering phones and routing calls as necessary
  • Comply with all procedures, rules and regulations
  • Enter required data into database
  • Sorting and distributing mail, receive deliveries
  • Maintain the general office filing system
  • Assist with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High-School Diploma or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication. Computer skills
  • Professionalism
  • Organization. Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
  • Time management. Read and interpret various job-related documents and instructions.
  • Pass a criminal background check
