- Provide patient assessment, treatment interventions, and related aspects of care within the scope of nursing practice including, but not limited to:
- Obtain and document pertinent history related to patient’s health and psychosocial status.
- Measurement of vital signs, phlebotomy and simple laboratory procedures, electrocardiograms, would care and spirometry and prescribed by a licensed physician/advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP)
- Administration of medications and immunizations as prescribed by a licensed physician/ARNP
- Assist with medication management as prescribed by a licensed physician/ARNP
- Promote patient satisfaction, well-being, and self-management by identifying and addressing patient concerns, assisting patients with follow up care and coordination of referrals to specialists, and identifying collaborative goals and supportive care needs
- Prepare educational materials for patients. Topics such as current protocols for disease management to be included and any other related information considered helpful for the patient.
- Collect and accurately document clinical information in the electronic health record
- Inventory medical supplies as and medications as instructed.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Responsible for equipment upkeep including cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment as well as reporting servicing needs
- Perform any other departmental or agency related duties or special projects as directed by Supervisor.
