Position Title: Retail Associate 

Reports to: Retail Supervisor(s), Assistant Retail Operations Manager, and Retail Operations Manager 

 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Fulfill guest's needs quickly and efficiently.
  • Embody and champion the 452 Hospitality standard to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
  • Inform retail leadership in a timely manner when item quantities are low or a special request arises; work with the warehouse team to pull & fill items as necessary.
  • Relay relevant guest comments and feedback directly to your supervisor.
  • Check and stock supplies in counter area, floor displays, floor stands, and cabinets neatly, accurately, and in a timely fashion.
  • Merchandise product and promote add-on items to maximize sales.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including tables, chairs, and equipment. Uphold company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Supports unit in being an example for Company & Client guidelines with regard to Sustainability/Conservation efforts, and shares that knowledge with unit staff as needed.
  • Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, maintaining accurate sales records and balancing the assigned cash drawer.
  • Supports SSA / Unit in driving community effort through hiring efforts, engagement activities, and focus on opportunities of giving back
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including equipment setup, cleaning, and securing the work area.
  • Maintain photography equipment, printers, and workstations in clean, organized, working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Print, package, and sell photo products while promoting available packages and add-on items.
  • Restock photo supplies and retail displays as needed.
  • Capture high-quality guest photos throughout the attraction.
  • Meet individual and team sales goals through guest engagement and product recommendations.
  • Assist with other guest service, retail, or operational duties as assigned to support business needs.

Job Requirements 

  • Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused personality.
  • Comfortable engaging with children, families, and guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including prolonged standing and walking.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive movements associated with photography and retail operations.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holiday and flexible schedules based on our operational needs.
  • Thrive in a team environment while having the ability to work independently and demonstrated flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
  • Computer knowledge and skill level basic POS systems

  • All education backgrounds eligible.

Compensation and Benefits 

  • Eligible for overtime pay.

  • Participation in a 401(k) program with a 15% company match (must be 21 years or older, eligible after one year of employment with 1,000 hours worked, available to enroll during Open Enrollment Periods).

  • Holiday pay of 1.5× the regular rate is provided for hours worked on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day.
  • Paid sick leave is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Accrual rates, caps, and usage rules vary by location.

Locations include: Arizona, California, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, D.C..  Colorado: Employees accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year, under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA).  Maryland: Employees accrue at least 1 hour of paid sick and safe leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours per year, as required under the Maryland Healthy Working Families Act.  Washington: Employees accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked, in accordance with the Seattle Paid Sick and Safe Time.
