  • Platform Operations: Own day‑to‑day reliability and performance of core platform services (e.g., Kubernetes/AKS/EKS/GKE, API gateways, service mesh, artifacts, registries) including patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Automation & CI/CD: Create reusable modules, pipelines, and tooling (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins) to enable self‑service provisioning and safe, repeatable deployments.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement guardrails, IAM least privilege, key management, and workload hardening in partnership with Security.
  • Observability & SRE: Establish logging, metrics, tracing (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor,  Grafana).
  • Networking: Design resilient network topologies (VPC/VNet peering, PrivateLink/Private Endpoints, routing, DNS, WAF, CDN) and troubleshoot connectivity/perf issues.
  • Mentorship & Standards: Coach engineers, perform design reviews, and document patterns, runbooks, and reference architectures.
  • On‑Call: Participate in a reasonable, rotating on‑call schedule for critical platform services.
