SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Planning and Scheduling Manager that will be responsible for performing complex planning and scheduling assignments on highly complex or multiple projects, providing leadership and coordination of team members and processes, and overseeing project planning and scheduling strategies at both project and group levels.Â

RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Provide oversight of planning and scheduling activities on all projects within an operating groupÂ
Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activitiesÂ
Ensure corporate planning and schedule standards are implemented and all project-related activities complyÂ
Review major mitigation efforts for conformance to company standardsÂ
Provide oversight and supervision of scheduling team, including coaching, mentoring, training, and performance evaluationsÂ
Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if neededÂ
Develop leadership potential through task assignments and career growth opportunitiesÂ
Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and manage performanceÂ
Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, leading project pursuit strategy regarding schedule and risk identification and mitigationÂ
Support roll-out of all company-wide training plansÂ
Coordinate and lead corporate planning and scheduling improvement initiatives and best practice sharingÂ
Responsible for budget and scheduling resource management at the operating group levelÂ
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent fieldÂ
Minimum twelve years of construction experience; experience as a project manager or superintendent is desirableÂ
Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, construction practices, project sequencing, and 4D visual planning methodologiesÂ
Strong plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills; ability to identify concerns in document reviewsÂ
Knowledge of project management, contracting methods, buyout, and contractsÂ
Ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in solving unprecedented problems on complex projectsÂ
Strong organization, delegation, and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple project teamsÂ
Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and superior service rankingsÂ
Basic understanding of project estimates for schedule development, cost loading, and resource loadingÂ
Ability to interpret and implement customer scheduling specifications and contract requirementsÂ
Ability to quickly understand complex projects at the proposal stage and develop strong project schedule strategiesÂ
Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environmentÂ
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, oral and written communication, and public speaking skillsÂ
Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedbackÂ

The base pay range for this role is $140,000 - $210,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
