Job Description

This is a temporary to permanent position. This is a project/limited term position with the opportunity to become an internal staff position, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

Specialized football producers responsible for leading the editorial approach to soccer-focused content during the World Cup. They develop tactical analysis, prepare technical segments, review advanced statistics, and provide direct support to commentators and analysts. This role requires proven experience in international soccer production and a deep understanding of the game, FIFA regulations, and global tournament storytelling

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Editorial Leadership in Soccer Content
•  Lead the editorial direction of all soccer-specific content across shows and
• segments.
• Identify key storylines, trends, and tactical narratives relevant to World Cup
• coverage.
• Ensure all content reflects accuracy, context, and deep football insight.
• Tactical & Technical Analysis
• Produce and prepare tactical breakdowns, including formations, match patterns,
• and strategic adjustments.
• Work closely with analysts to build high-level technical segments supported by
• graphics and replay packages.
• Identify teachable moments within matches to elevate viewer understanding.

Advanced Statistics & Research

• Review, verify, and interpret advanced football metrics (xG, passing networks, heat
• maps, intensity data, etc.).
• Translate complex statistical data into clear, engaging on-air content.
• Prepare detailed pre-match and post-match statistical reports for talent and
• producers.
• Support for Commentators & Analysts
• Provide commentators, analysts, and talent with research packets, tactical notes,
• and updated team information.
• Assist in developing talking points, match previews, and key narrative frameworks.
• Serve as the primary resource for real-time insights during live broadcasts.
• Segment Creation & Production
• Build technical explainer segments, breakdowns, and educational football content
• for studio shows.
• Coordinate closely with editors, graphics teams, and replay operators to bring
• tactical elements to life visually.
• Oversee quality control of all soccer-related content, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Tournament Knowledge & Narrative Development
• Maintain in-depth understanding of FIFA regulations, tournament formats, match rules, and VAR protocol.Develop broader narrative arcs tied to the tournament’s progression, team
• evolution, and player storylines.
• Provide historical context and comparative analysis that enrich broadcast
• storytelling.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proven experience in international soccer production or major global football
• tournaments.
• Deep understanding of tactical concepts, coaching philosophies, and football
• analytics.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to simplify complex football concepts for a
• broad audience.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, live production environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with talent, producers,
• and technical teams
