Start Date: Upcoming School Year | 1-Year Contract with potential extension
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students across two school campuses in the Miami area for the upcoming school year. This onsite role will serve a diverse K8 student population (with potential 9th-grade support) and is ideal for an SLP passionate about working in a collaborative, mission-driven school environment.
This position will split time between two campuses, including one that is newly opening, offering a unique opportunity to help build and support a growing program.
Caseload & Services:
Caseload Size: Approximately 4060 students
Grade Levels: K8 (possibly 9th grade)
Service Types:
Articulation and language therapy
Social communication and ASD support
AAC support (minimal approximately 2 students)
Most students receive 12 sessions per week (30 minutes each)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups
Support students with a range of communication needs including articulation, language, and social communication
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs
Utilize FOCUS platform for IEP management and documentation (training/support provided during transition)
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active Florida SLP license required
Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
Ability to assess in Creole is a plus
Prior school-based experience preferred
Experience working with diverse student populations and communication needs
