The Sr. Analyst, Benefits, US supports the administration and delivery of employee benefit programs, including health and welfare benefits, leave administration, compliance activities, vendor management, and annual enrollment processes. This role serves as a key point of contact for benefits-related matters and is responsible for ensuring benefit programs are administered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulations.

Reporting to the Sr. Benefits Manager, the Sr. Analyst works with a high degree of independence to resolve benefits issues, analyze benefits data, coordinate with external vendors, and identify opportunities to improve benefits processes and the employee experience.

The Sr. Analyst, Benefits helps ensure these programs are administered effectively while providing employees with timely, accurate, and high-quality support.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day administration of assigned benefits programs, including maintaining accurate employee eligibility and enrollment data, coordinating with benefits vendors, reviewing invoices, and supporting required reporting.
  • Support the Sr. Benefits Manager with the implementation, administration, and ongoing evaluation of benefits programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate key activities related to annual benefits renewals and open enrollment, including system configuration, end-user testing, employee communications, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Review benefits administration practices and processes to ensure alignment with company policies, standard operating procedures, plan requirements, and applicable legislation.
  • Support leave and disability administration, partnering with third-party administrators, employees, managers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate appropriate return-to-work plans and resolve complex cases.
  • Serve as an escalation point for benefits-related employee inquiries, researching and resolving more complex issues and coordinating with vendors and internal partners as needed.
  • Partner directly with benefits vendors to resolve employee issues, reconcile discrepancies, monitor service delivery, and ensure timely completion of benefits-related requests.
  • Maintain the integrity of benefits data across internal and external systems through regular audits, reconciliations, and resolution of identified discrepancies.
  • Analyze benefits data and trends to identify recurring issues, opportunities for process improvement, and potential enhancements to the employee experience.
  • Support the execution of annual compliance requirements, including ACA reporting, Form 5500 filings, non-discrimination testing, and applicable state and local reporting.
  • Develop and maintain benefits reports, documentation, standard operating procedures, and other materials to support effective program administration.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve benefits processes, recommending solutions and supporting implementation of process improvements.
  • Provide additional support to the broader People Services and Benefits teams on reporting, projects, and other ad hoc initiatives as required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate benefits information clearly to employees and stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage sensitive or complex employee inquiries professionally.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with benefits vendors, internal partners, and employees at various levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement practical solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or a related area required.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. health and welfare benefits and applicable benefits compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting benefits programs, annual enrollment, vendor relationships, and/or benefits compliance activities preferred.
  • Experience with Workday or a comparable HRIS, including reporting and benefits administration functionality, preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze and reconcile benefits-related data.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment when resolving benefits-related issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and compressed timelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee information with tact and discretion.
