The Sr. Manager, Real Estate Asset Management, leads a team overseeing a portfolio of Company owned and leased properties.  This role leads the collaboration with internal teams including Development, Franchising, Finance, Legal and Operations. This role works closely with landlords, brokers, and franchisees to ensure the timely execution of lease renewals, dispositions, property management, and refranchising deals.

RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Successful candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team with full real estate accountability for approximately 2,400 Burger King® properties in US & Canada.  Team will support landlord and tenant concerns, execution of lease renewals, dispositions, property management, and refranchising deals.

  • Determine the strategy for the team and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment. 

  •  Partner closely with Development, Franchising, Legal, Finance and Accounting. 

  • Design performance metrics, identify what constitutes success, and implement process to manage workload. 

  • Identify trends in the broader market & areas of significance for customers (tenants / franchisees). 

  • Leader that is a strong team player, an inspiring motivator, strong mentor, and an accessible manager. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams in execution of initiatives designed to enhance quality of customer service. 

  • Present to senior leadership regularly, representing team and reviewing their performance. 

  • ​Work closely with Development to support new restaurant growth opportunities within the existing portfolio.

 

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in commercial real estate, asset management, property management, market research and analysis within the QSR or Fast Casual industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Business, Finance, or a related field.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills both internally and externally that show a capability of influencing a wide range of audiences 

  • Experience collaborating with landlords, brokers, and franchisees in a real estate capacity.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess information, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and dealing with uncertainty 

  • Microsoft Office experience, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
