Summer 2026 Site Manager (Full-Time) – Big Ideas Educational Services

Overview

The Summer Site Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering a high-quality, engaging, and structured summer program aligned with the mission of Big Ideas Educational Services. This position is responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring strong student engagement, maintaining compliance with all program requirements, and leading staff to implement impactful academic and enrichment experiences.



The Site Manager ensures that all programming—including literacy, math, STEM, SEL, and enrichment—is delivered with fidelity, aligns with student needs, and reflects Big Ideas’ commitment to creating safe, supportive, and developmentally rich learning environments.


Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday (Summer Program Hours)
  • Program Duration: Summer 2026 (7-week program)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Staff Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Certified Teachers and Activity Leaders (formerly Teacher Assistants).
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Conduct daily check-ins, monitor staff performance, and provide real-time feedback and coaching.
  • Ensure all staff follow Big Ideas policies, procedures, and safety expectations.
  • Create staff schedules that maintain required student-to-staff ratios and program efficiency.

Program Implementation & Quality Control

  • Oversee daily program implementation, ensuring all rotations (ELA, Math, STEM, Enrichment, SEL, PE) run on schedule and with fidelity.
  • Ensure lessons are engaging, structured, and aligned to student needs and Big Ideas programming expectations.
  • Monitor classroom environments to ensure active student participation and effective transitions (aligned with the “212 Transition” model).
  • Support teachers in delivering differentiated instruction and small group learning experiences.

Student Engagement & Behavior Support

  • Maintain a strong focus on student engagement as the foundation of retention and program success.
  • Implement and support positive behavior strategies and interventions.
  • Coordinate with staff to address behavioral concerns and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all students.
  • Support the integration of SEL programming (e.g., resiliency, mindfulness, conflict resolution).

Data Management & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate daily attendance tracking in systems such as Brightwheel and EZReports within required timeframes.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records across all internal and external reporting platforms.
  • Monitor data for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with funder requirements.
  • Use data to inform program improvements and communicate trends to leadership.

Family & School Partnership

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school-day staff, administration, and families.
  • Address parent questions and concerns in a professional, timely, and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Support family engagement efforts, including communication, events, and program awareness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for site-level communication.

Operations & Site Management

  • Oversee daily site logistics, including arrival, transitions, rotations, and dismissal.
  • Ensure proper use and organization of supplies, materials, and technology.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure classrooms are prepared for daily instruction.
  • Ensure all safety procedures and protocols are followed at all times.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support summer training, team meetings, and organizational initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and program evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the program.

Qualifications

  • Experience in education, youth development, or program management (after-school or summer programs preferred).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
