Quality Management Analyst 1

The University of Miami/UHealth department of Clinical Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Quality Management Analyst 1 to work at the UHealth Medical Campus. The Quality Management Analyst 1 performs data management reviews in assigned areas throughout the facility. Coordinates and participates in the management of accreditation readiness and metrics / quality standards for regulatory bodies and professional organization impacting the University of Miami Health System. Collaborates with leadership teams, physicians and staff for performance improvement and quality initiatives.

  • Abstracts and analyzes data to maximize productivity

  • Aggregates and organizes data that allows for meaningful decision-making.

  • Performs data retrieval, data collection, and data analysis.

  • Administers data within departmental programs and databases.

  • Validates data and information entered by staff.

  • Monitors quality indicators to identify trends and learning opportunities.

  • Monitors and assist in process and problem resolution.

  • Produces reports that identify opportunities for improvement in the quality program processes.

  • Prepares comprehensive documentation to support all related activities, inclusive of maintaining program documentation and files.

  • Facilitates the ongoing performance improvement projects through data collection and analysis.

  • Assists with preparatory activities for committees and meetings, including planning for Joint Commission surveys and visits.

  • Contacts regulatory agencies to research and clarify program rules.

  • Cross-trains on all functions related to the development, update, and maintenance of assigned databases; inclusive of ongoing collaboration with the group's Database Technology Managers in all matters related to the documentation of database functions.

  • Assists with data analysis, reports and presentations for departmental committees, meetings, and projects as requested.

  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Department Specific Functions

The Quality Management Analyst 1, with a focus on Inventory Control, provides basic support for inventory management processes within Clinical Engineering. This entry-level role involves data entry, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with inventory-related policies and procedures.

  • Data Entry and Maintenance:

  • Assist with data entry and verification within the CMMS and RTLS systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Support inventory audits and resolve discrepancies in inventory data under supervision.

  • Compliance Support:

  • Help ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures.

  • Assist in maintaining documentation, such as operator manuals and preventive maintenance records.

  • Basic Reporting:

  • Generate basic inventory reports and support senior analysts in data analysis tasks.

Core Qualifications

  • Associate degree in related field

  • Minimum 1 year of relative experience

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors:

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data

  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.

  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office)
