The University of Miami/UHealth Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency is seeking an OPO Donor Management Coordinator 1 (Night Shift). The Donor Management Coordinator (DMC) coordinates the care and management of organ donors from consent until organ recovery. Responsibilities include collaborating with healthcare professionals, donor hospitals, transplant teams, and organ procurement organizations to optimize donor organ viability, logistics, and regulatory compliance. The DMC responds to potential donor referrals in hospitals within Dade, Monroe, Broward, Collier, Palm Beach, St. Lucie counties and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Duties include overseeing clinical management of organ donors, developing individualized donor care plans, conducting assessments, administering medications, evaluating donation suitability, formulating donor maintenance plans, ensuring organ preservation and consent compliance, screening potential tissue donors, taking calls from donor referral hotline, and conducting educational programs. The role requires adherence to University policies and safeguarding assets. Qualifications include AA in health services or related field preferred, CPT certification within 2 years, minimum two years emergency or critical care experience preferred, skills in detail orientation, prioritization, confidentiality, stress management, ability to work nights/weekends, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
