Ā Your RoleĀ 

As a Gensler ProjectĀ Manager, you willĀ leverageĀ your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client projects on time andĀ withinĀ budget. Grow your project management experience while working on trendsetting projects acrossĀ practice areas. A focus for the role will beĀ managingĀ a variety of core & shell architecture projects, andĀ building client relationships and driving business opportunities.Ā 

What You Will DoĀ 

  • Manage project teams,Ā clientsĀ and consultantsĀ for multiple projectsĀ simultaneouslyĀ 

  • ManageĀ all phases, including project set-up, programming, design, and construction administrationĀ 

  • Establish andĀ maintainĀ ongoing, productive client relationshipsĀ 

  • Engage directly with clients in coordination withĀ clientĀ or client stakeholders to assure approvalsĀ 

  • ManageĀ project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets, project set-up with clients, sub-contractors,Ā vendorsĀ and consultantsĀ 

  • Ā Track the financial performance of projectsĀ 

  • PrepareĀ project proposal, negotiateĀ fees andĀ contractsĀ for projectsĀ 

  • CoordinateĀ bidding processĀ 

  • Ensure projects conform to contractĀ 

  • CreateĀ and communicateĀ clear and attainable projectĀ objectivesĀ and project requirementsĀ 

  • Actively support firmwideĀ sustainability and resilience goals, guiding clients and project teams toward multi-benefit sustainable and resilient design solutionsĀ 

  • Actively mentor the next generation of leadership by inspiring,Ā empoweringĀ and leading by example. You willĀ be responsible forĀ advancing an integrated design culture on your projects within the studio, including mentoring, resources, discourse, initiatives and recruiting of team membersĀ Ā 

Ā Your QualificationsĀ 

  • 10+Ā years’ experience as a Project ManagerĀ within a commercialĀ architecture and design firmĀ managingĀ large scaleĀ projects

  • ExperienceĀ leadingĀ base buildingĀ andĀ interior architectureĀ projects of a variety of scalesĀ forĀ hotels, multi-family residential,Ā office buildings, andĀ mixed-useĀ spacesĀ 

  • MentoringĀ and collaborating withĀ Interior Designers and ArchitectsĀ 

  • Strong leadership, organization,Ā communicationĀ and interpersonal management skillsĀ 

  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents.Ā 

  • Commitment to a collaborative design processĀ 

  • Experience negotiating project scope and feesĀ 

  • Knowledge of local building codes and standardsĀ 

  • Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture from an accredited programĀ 

  • Licensed / Registered ArchitectĀ +Ā LEED accreditation areĀ preferredĀ 

  • Proven experience mentoringĀ andĀ coaching junior team membersĀ 

  • ProvenĀ experience,Ā building trust with clients and developing client relationshipsĀ 

*At Gensler a Project Manager will have the job title of Design Manager and operate in this capacity for alignment with internal programs, doing business with clients and compliance with industry and governmentĀ regulations.
