The CNC Machine Operator will prepare and operate the numerical-control machine, accurately and efficiently read setup instructions and specifications, and load control media containing program commands into control console of the machine.


Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications, and mount them to machine prior to beginning cutting.
  • Oversee cutting process, make adjustments throughout each job, catch mistakes as they happen and take necessary measures to eliminate errors.
  • Supervise machine conditions, ensure that machine has adequate dust collection during jobs and clear filters as needed.
  • Inspect all finished product for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputation.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement.


Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED. If not in possession of either, six months to a year of related experience or training is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of experience on 3+ axis machines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five axis experience is preferred.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively through speaking and hearing. This role is physically active and requires the ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific visual abilities required for this position include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
