Position SummaryÂ
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving operational efficiency, and leading large-scale projects including production line relocations, plant layout redesigns, and facility moves. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver cost savings, productivity gains, and seamless transitions during major operational changes.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Process Optimization & Continuous ImprovementÂ
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes using Lean and Six SigmaÂ
- Conduct workflow analysis, line balancing, and capacity planningÂ
- Implement cost reduction and productivity initiativesÂ
Â
Facility & Line Move Project LeadershipÂ
- Partner with leadership in the execution of production line moves and facility transitionsÂ
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgetsÂ
- Coordinate cross-functional teamsÂ
- Oversee installation, validation, and ramp-upÂ
Â
Plant Layout & Industrial DesignÂ
- Design optimized plant layoutsÂ
- Improve material flow and space utilizationÂ
- Support facility planning initiativesÂ
Â
Data Analysis & Performance ManagementÂ
- Analyze production data and identify bottlenecksÂ
- Develop KPIs and dashboardsÂ
- Conduct cost-benefit analysisÂ
Â
Cross-Functional CollaborationÂ
- Partner with operations, supply chain, finance, and EHSÂ
Required QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related fieldÂ
- 5+ years of manufacturing experienceÂ
- Experience with high impact line moves or facility transformationsÂ
- Knowledge of Lean and Six SigmaÂ
- CAD proficiencyÂ
- Strong project management skillsÂ
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- Six Sigma certificationÂ
- Automotive or heavy manufacturing experienceÂ
- ERP/MESÂ system experienceÂ
- Plant startup or expansion experienceÂ
