Johnson & Towers, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for Transmission Technician at our location in Baltimore, Maryland. This individual can be looking to start their career or have previous experience as a technician. Indel Power Group is a distributor/dealer for major brands such as mtu, Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmission, Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Freightliner, Western Star, Isuzu, Autocar, and Crane Carrier to name a few. Joining the service team will provide you with a rewarding work environment, excellent pay and benefits, and an opportunity for advancement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of Allison malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
  • Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, and complete repairs to promptly address and resolve customer vehicle or equipment concerns
  • Commitment to safety and cleanliness
  • Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes

Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience in heavy truck repair
  • Maintain Allison training certifications
  • Familiar with electrical diagnostics used for diesel truck repair
  • Must hold an active CDL
