        Under the supervision of the Camp Director, the Camp Secretary will represent the Old Colony Y in a positive manner, resulting in friendly, convenient and courteous service resulting in excellence in service for all members, clients, volunteers, and fellow employees.  The Camp Secretary is responsible for the secretarial work of the camp.

 

JOB FUNCTION

  1. Program/Department Responsibilities

        -   Responsible for typing, mailing and phone calling as needed.

        -   Coordinate camp messages and phone calls.

        -   Coordinate bus routes and bus lists

        -   Organize camp registrations & rosters for Extended Care, Overnight events & Day Camp programs.

        -   Maintain files, camper emergency phone numbers, camp records and registrations

        -   Camp marketing.

            

  1. Supervision of Personnel

        -   Assist Director in overseeing Concession Stand orders (milk, ice cream, etc)

 

  1. Fiscal Responsibility

        -   Maintain payment records on all campers.

        -   Distribute payment due notices prior to the start of camp.

        -   Bill delinquent accounts

           

  1. Facility/Housekeeping Responsibility

        -   Responsible for a neat, clean and organized desk area          

        -   Participate in overnights.

        -   Flexible work schedule.

 

 

  1. Interdivisional/Community/Volunteer Responsibility

        -   Prepare weekly statistical reports.

        -   Provide friendly, courteous service to all members, clients and volunteers of the Y.

        - Minimum 18 years of age

        - High School graduate

        - Working knowledge of Windows, Y Metro 5.0 and Excel

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand a majority of the work day.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop etc during the work day.
