Lorain County Community College is seeking a collaborative and innovative educator to serve as Full-Time Faculty and Program Director for the Veterinary Technology Program. Reporting to the Dean of Health and Wellness Sciences, this individual will provide academic and administrative leadership for the program, ensuring excellence in teaching, curriculum, accreditation, and student success while maintaining compliance with AVMA CVTEA, Ohio Department of Higher Education, and Higher Learning Commission standards.

The Program Director will foster a collaborative learning environment focused on student achievement, workforce development, and community engagement while advancing the College's commitment to academic excellence and preparing graduates for successful careers in veterinary technology.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

Provide leadership for all aspects of the Veterinary Technology Program, including curriculum, accreditation, assessment, and continuous improvement; recruit, mentor, and support faculty; collaborate on scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning; maintain communication with faculty, students, administration, Polaris Career Center, and community partners.

Student Success

Coordinate admissions-related activities, support student recruitment and retention initiatives, monitor Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) outcomes, collaborate with advising and student support services, oversee student engagement activities that promote academic success and program completion, and perform additional duties as assigned to support the program's continued success.
