Nestled in the rolling hills of Virginia's wine and equestrian country, Gold Cup Wine Bar offers a sophisticated yet relaxed dining experience featuring Virginia wines, handcrafted cocktails, and exceptional cuisine. We are seeking energetic and service-focused Restaurant Servers to create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Position Summary
The Restaurant Server is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service while creating memorable guest experiences. This role requires strong menu knowledge, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced luxury environment and consistently uphold Forbes Five-Star service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional food and beverage service to guests in accordance with Forbes Five-Star standards.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, wines, cocktails, and daily specials.
- Make personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Maintain tables and service stations throughout the dining experience.
- Process guest payments accurately and follow all cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with culinary, bartending, and support teams to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas.
- Complete opening, side work, and closing duties according to departmental standards.
- Attend pre-shift meetings and stay informed of resort events, promotions, and offerings.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and meet all requirements for serving alcohol.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of six months of restaurant server experience in a full-service dining environment required.
- Luxury hotel, resort, fine dining, wine bar, or upscale restaurant experience preferred.
- Bartending knowledge or experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Rate: $5.20 per hour plus tips
