Program Nurse (RN) – Developmental Services

CSAC’s Community Associates program is seeking a compassionate and skilled Program Nurse (RN) to support adults with developmental disabilities in living healthy, meaningful lives. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who values teamwork, teaching, and advocacy in a person-centered environment.

What You’ll Do
As the Program Nurse, you’ll serve as the nursing leader and health consultant across CSAC’s Developmental Services programs. You’ll ensure that care practices meet Vermont Health & Wellness Standards, Therapeutic Community Residence (TCR) regulations, and Medicaid/HCBS requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Health & Wellness Oversight: Monitor and support the medical needs of clients, collaborating with Service Coordinators, Residential Teams, and Shared Living Providers.
- Medication Management: Oversee safe medication systems, train and delegate to certified staff, and ensure compliance with nursing and TCR standards.
- Staff Training: Educate and assess staff competency in medication administration, specialized procedures, infection control, and wellness practices.
- Quality Assurance: Audit health records and documentation to ensure full regulatory compliance and support continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, healthcare providers, and families to promote continuity of care.
- Direct Care & Emergency Support: Provide nursing services, health assessments, and emergency      response when needed.

What You Bring
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont
- At least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in developmental services, residential, or community health settings
- Knowledge of Vermont DDSD Health & Wellness Standards, TCR rules, and HCBS requirements. Support will be provided if the candidate does not have the DDSD nursing knowledge/experience.
- Skill set in creating relevant systems and workflows to meet compliance requirements
- Strong skills in training, delegation, and quality assurance
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities

Compensation
- Salaried position at 35 hours/week, starting at $70,361.20
