Job Description

The Maintenance Tech II performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all facility and building systems. Completes specialized repairs in areas of technical expertise. Performs other general tasks for the maintenance and upkeep of grounds, facility and site.

Education

High School (GED) education. A cumulative number of years' experience may be considered, in a specific specialty trade. Examples of such are HVAC Technician, Refrigeration Technician, and/or experience in excess of seven years in a mechanical, electrical, carpentry or plumbing trade.

Experience

Five year's experience Knowledge Must become familiar with state and national regulatory codes for buildings, health care facilities. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with frequent interruptions is required. Customer service orientation, and the ability to communicate and listen effectively. All incumbents shall become proficient in the use of the Hospital Equipment management system (HEMS) work order system.
