We are seeking a Youth Development Coordinator to join our team.
As a Youth Development Coordinator, you will assist young adults ages 14-23 in developing and pursuing their goals as they transition into adulthood and out of the foster care system. This can include, but is not limited to helping and supporting young adults to: obtain and succeed in secondary and post-secondary education; find and maintain housing; develop employment skills; develop and maintain healthy relationships; and secure a healthy and sustaining lifestyle according to the wishes and needs of the young adults. Community networking and partnering will enhance the success of the young adults and community.
While we work closely with Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division, we have our own separate and comfortable offices!
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
1-2 years of experience in independent living services is beneficial but not required.
This position includes significant local travel.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
Must be able to manage finances and balance a checkbook.
Must have good organizational skills and be able to engage young adults who have experienced trauma.
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week.
Compensation: Starting $20 hourly. Additional compensation based on degree and certifications.
