Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Specialist in Somerset, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure and welcoming environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and/or deliveries, verifying credentials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and help support smooth operations. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established access-control and screening protocols.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate screening, visitor, incident, and shift activity records while helping to deter prohibited items and unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
