This position supports efficient production while ensuring finished products meet established quality standards. The Line Operator will follow all safety procedures, complete required documentation, inspect products, and communicate any safety, quality, or equipment concerns. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor paint line equipment, spindle systems, conveyor belts, and related production equipment. Identify and properly use machine stop buttons and emergency-stop controls. Follow established restart procedures after emergency stops or equipment shutdowns. Ensure all machine guards, safeguards, and presence-sensing devices are properly installed and functioning. Identify and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment for designated work areas. Understand and follow plant evacuation and emergency procedures. Identify the locations of emergency exits, storm shelters, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and first-aid stations. Read and interpret specification sheets, work orders, production instructions, product names, colors, packaging requirements, and labeling instructions. Inspect products throughout each stage of the production process. Identify defects such as short shots, flash, burns, underpacking, bubbles, breakage, discoloration, and other quality concerns. Take corrective action or notify the supervisor when product quality is in question. Complete all required production, safety, and quality documentation accurately and on time. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Identify and report unsafe conditions, workplace hazards, and unsafe behaviors. Participate in routine safety audits and 5S activities. Communicate equipment, production, safety, and quality concerns to the appropriate team members. Follow all company policies, procedures, and workplace standards. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, production, paint line, or machine operation experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret specification sheets, work orders, and production instructions. Strong attention to detail. Commitment to workplace safety and product quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to accurately complete required paperwork and production documentation. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift materials as required. Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment throughout the shift.
