Reimbursement Representative

Work Schedule: 
This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position.  Shifts will be scheduled 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Once fully trained, there is additional schedule flexibility which will be discussed in the interview process.  This is a hybrid position with onsite requirements being 1-2 times per quarter.  When onsite you will work at 7974 UW Health Ct.

We are seeking a Reimbursement Representative to: 

• Follow up with third party payers and patients on outstanding account balances (including credit balances) to facilitate prompt resolution of outstanding account balances. 
• Verify patient coverage information and update registration as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in an insurance, finance, medical, hospital, or customer service-related field. Required
• Revenue Cycle (healthcare business, financial or insurance) experience.
• Epic experience
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, CPT, ICD coding structures, and billing forms (UB, 1500)
  Preferred
