Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at Hillsboro Health and Rehab. We are searching for a dietary aide who will provide exceptional food service in a senior living environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service. This position requires a strong commitment to teamwork and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established dietary guidelines. Buss tables and ensure dining areas are clean and organized. Support the dietary department by maintaining food safety standards during food production and service. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their dietary preferences and needs. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery and presentation. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or issues. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols within the culinary environment. Requirements Previous experience in food service or as a Dietary Aide is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with residents, families, and staff. Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy setting.
