Job Summary

ACT is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for developing complex electronic equipment to meet customer and ACT specifications, verifying our products meet customer requirements through testing and analysis as well as interfacing with customers on requirements and requests for quotes. We have a robust mentorship program and believe strongly in collaboration between all departments and career development.

Must Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience and education
  • Previous experience with packaging design and mechanical and environmental testing preferred
  • Experience with thermal and mechanical Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, e.g. Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics software
  • A working knowledge of ASME14.5: Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word and Excel), AutoCAD Design Suite (Inventor), and ERP systems with a willingness to learn new systems highly desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Good organizational skills, self-motivated, creative, strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a willingness to learn
