Wesleyan University’s Department of Philosophy invites applications for a one-year full-time visiting professor of philosophy beginning September 1, 2026. AOS: Philosophy of Science; Science and Values; AOC: Open, with some preference for Philosophy of Biology, Medicine, or Computer Science. Candidate’s teaching will contribute to the College of Science and Technology Studies, whose interdisciplinary major combines course work in science and technology studies with courses in a science. Ph.D. in Philosophy or related field is required. The teaching load is 3/2 (4 preps) in person on Wesleyan’s campus. With a strong and diverse undergraduate student body, Wesleyan is a highly selective liberal arts college that values both scholarship and teaching very highly.
