USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Wire Room Associate to join our team. This position will be located in our Middletown, CT location.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely cut, coil, and respool designated lengths of wire according to procedures and customer orders.
  • Accurately identify, measure, and fulfill wire product orders ensuring the correct product and quantity are selected.
  • Operate warehouse equipment--including forklifts, reach trucks, and coil/reel machines--safely and in compliance with safety and manufacturer standards.
  • Submit maintenance requests for wire-cutting tools and equipment as needed.
  • Verify and label processed materials; ensure materials are placed in the correct storage locations in an orderly and accessible manner.
  • Review and confirm the accuracy of picked orders and report any discrepancies to leadership.
  • Assign and distribute work via computer systems, maintain general housekeeping, and assist in other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic reading and math skills, including the ability to match orders and identify products by size, style, color, and Lot #.
  • Familiarity with wire products and warehouse operations is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented setting.
