Dow Credit Union is seeking an experienced and strategic Assistant Controller to join our Accounting leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with leadership, process improvement, and strategic thinking.

As the Assistant Controller, you'll serve as a key partner to the Controller and leadership team, helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of the credit union's financial reporting while influencing business decisions through financial insights, forecasting, and analysis. You'll lead critical accounting functions, oversee audits and examinations, contribute to asset-liability management discussions, and help drive process and system improvements across the organization.

If you're a CPA (or pursuing one), enjoy solving complex accounting challenges, and want to make a meaningful impact at a member-focused financial institution, we'd love to hear from you.

Today, we serve more than 84,000 members across all 50 states and in over 40 countries and have over $2.5 billion in assets. Our goal has always been to serve our members to the best of our abilities and provide them with the best value for their money. Every day, we continually strive to improve our level of service by keeping our focus on our members.

In order to do this, we have to hire and retain loyal, team-oriented employees who have genuine care and concern for our members and conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism. That's why we offer competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a positive work culture. We truly respect each other and actively encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). We are an equal-opportunity employer.

  • Participate in annual budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
