Dietary Aide

Responsibilities

• Handle and store all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines

• Assist with food preparation as assigned by supervisor

• Prepare food items according to standardized recipes insuring safe food handling practices

• Assist with the set-up of the food tray line

• Assemble diet trays and deliver tray carts to dining areas or to units

• Clean dishes, utensils and equipment according to facility procedures

•  Assist in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED),

• Prefer one year experience as a food service aide in an institutional food service setting.
