The Manager of Analytics is responsible for leading MyMichigan Health’s analytics team and supporting the delivery of enterprise reporting, dashboards, and data-driven insights. Reporting to the Director of Analytics, this role oversees Business Intelligence Analysts, Data Analysts, and Visualization resources. This position ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable analytics to support clinical, operational, and financial decision-making. The Manager advances analytics beyond standard reporting by identifying trends, conducting root cause analysis, and translating data into actionable insights that drive measurable improvement. The role includes ownership of the Epic Cogito Suite and coordination of analytics support for Epic releases and upgrades, ensuring data integrity and reliable reporting. The Manager partners with organizational and IT leaders to support strategic initiatives while advancing standardization, process improvement, and scalable analytics solutions.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(20%)* Leads performance measurement and analytics efforts by identifying trends, monitoring key metrics, and conducting root cause analysis to translate data into actionable insights that support clinical, operational, and financial decision-making. (20%)* Directs the development and delivery of enterprise dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions, ensuring leaders receive clear, consistent, and actionable information.
(20%)* Partners with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to interpret performance data, provide recommendations, and support measurable improvement initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
(20%)* Oversees the Epic Cogito Suite, including deployment, maintenance, optimization, and monitoring, while coordinating analytics support for Epic releases, upgrades, and system changes to ensure reliable and accurate reporting.
(20%)* Manages analytics operations, including intake, prioritization, and resource allocation, while advancing standardization, data quality, and ongoing process improvement.

Define processes for analytics intake, prioritization, and resource allocation.
Standardize reporting, metric definitions, and data quality processes to ensure consistent and trusted analytics.
Conduct trend analysis and support root cause evaluation, translating findings into actionable insights.
Support continuous improvement of analytics processes, tools, and team capabilities.
Develop and present analytics to senior leadership, ensuring clarity and relevance.
Oversee analytics project delivery to ensure timely and accurate results.
Collaborate with IT to support analytics platforms, including performance and data reliability.
Support analytics needs for enterprise initiatives and cross-functional efforts.
Maintain documentation to support consistent and sustainable analytics operations.

Required Education
Bachelors degree is required
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, healthcare research, or similar field.
Other Information
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND SKILLS:
Five to Seven years of Healthcare and Analytics experience.
Three to Five years of progressively responsible experience in management/leadership positions, with a minimum of two years in health care leadership.
Knowledge of data collection, management, analysis, and advanced analytics methods and tools.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death. Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position. Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description. Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s). Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching. Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required. Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake. Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis. Physical Demand Level: Light. Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 11-20 lbs., frequently (34-66% of the workday) 10 lbs. and or Walk/Stand/Push/Pull of Arm/Leg controls.
