Job Summary:

The Regulatory Analyst will manage regulatory compliance and permitting activities for well operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to federal and state agencies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Interact professionally with regulatory agencies and respond to requests promptly.
  • Manage all regulatory and permitting activities associated with well operations.
  • Prepare and file reports, applications, and payments to federal and state agencies (RRC/NMOCD).
  • Submit permits for injection, saltwater disposal, co-mingling, and other applications for Texas and New Mexico.
  • Read and interpret plats and drilling reports to complete paperwork.
  • Prepare ½ mile and ¼ mile plats for applications.
  • Collaborate with engineers, geologists, landmen, and accounting personnel.
  • Work independently and in teams, handling complex situations with guidance.
  • Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with databases and managing large data sets.
  • Experience filing standardized reports with federal and state agencies (RRC/NMOCD).
  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED with related work experience.
  • 2+ years in Oil & Gas Production Accounting related work.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word required.
  • Knowledge of drilling technology and well bore schematics preferred.
