Job DetailsJob Location: TX-ESP-MIDLD - Midland, TX 79706Roles & Responsibilities The Transportation Journey Management Coordinator is responsible for coordinating transportation activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of personnel, equipment, and materials. This role oversees and enforces journey plans, conducts transportation risk assessments, and monitors Real time alerts to collaborate with operations teams in efforts of minimizing transportation related risks while maintaining operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Enforce and collaborate with operations to review and approve journey management plans for personnel. Conduct route risk assessments and identify potential transportation hazards. Monitor ongoing journeys and maintain communication with drivers and field personnel. Ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place for transportation emergencies. Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce transportation safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Monitor real time driver alerts, performance, vehicle inspections, and journey management standards. Investigate transportation incidents, near misses, and safety concerns. Communication & Reporting Serve as the primary point of contact for journey management activities. Provide real-time updates regarding transportation status and operational impacts. Maintain accurate transportation records, reports, and performance metrics. Prepare daily reports on transportation safety and efficiency. Emergency Response Support emergency response activities involving transportation incidents. Coordinate communication during vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or severe weather events. Education, Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Fleet maintenance, transportation Journey management, logistics, or related experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Oil & gas or mixed fleet operational experience strongly preferred Emergency Response and Incident investigation Experience preferred. Experience with IVMS systems is strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of transportation safety and journey management processes. Ability to assess risk and make sound operational decisions. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, field personnel, management, and contractors. Proficiency in transportation tracking and fleet management software Working Conditions Environmental Office-based with periodic field exposure to field locations, yards, and fleet assets. Hours/Shifts Standard business hours with flexibility as needed to support operations, audits, or compliance events. Physical Demands Primarily sedentary office work. Occasional walking, standing, bending, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs) when conducting audits or inspections.
