This position will be a Diamondback employee supporting the subsidiary, Viper Energy Partners. The primary responsibility of the Landman is to manage an assigned geographic area within Viper Energy’s mineral and royalty holdings. This role supports asset management and works closely with internal teams and technical professionals to ensure company objectives and development goals are met.

Job Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
- Oversee and manage mineral interests, overriding royalty interests, and non-participating royalty interests, ensuring maximum revenue generation.Â
- Review production volumes and leasehold obligations on company owned mineral & royalty interests
- Calculate net revenue interest of company in horizontal allocation wells and unit wells as necessary.
- Negotiate oil, gas, and mineral leases, surface use agreements, and other contracts to secure favorable terms from outside parties.
- Work with Division Order team to insure timely and accurate royalty payments for the company.
- Maintain accurate ownership data within the company land management software.
- Partner with brokers and attorneys in title and curative matters as appropriateÂ
- Provide guidance to land support staff
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Management, Petroleum Land Management, Business Administration, or related fieldÂ
- Three (3+) years of progressive Land experience with at least two (2+) of those being in-houseÂ
- Three (3+) years of demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
- High-level understanding of Land and exploration and production issuesÂ
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skillsÂ
Preferred Qualifications:
- Permian Basin landman experience
- Member of AAPLÂ
- Aptitude to apply strategic thinking skills to identify and evaluate logically and creatively various factors that can have a current and future business impactÂ
- Ability to operate both independently and as part of a teamÂ
- Solid attention to detail and flexibility regarding workload and priorities while also maintaining commercial awareness and a broader view of a business situationÂ
- Solid organizational and time management skills with a proven track record of being able to problem solve and think creativelyÂ
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervisionÂ
