Job Description:

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Water Resource Engineer reporting to the Water Resource Manager in Midland, Texas. This position will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining analytical reporting for water, as well as leading budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and project readiness efforts across the water function. The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

General Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing data for current and future water assets.

  • Collaborate with field personnel to manage water data and ensure accuracy and integrity.

  • Create and maintain analytical dashboards for the water team, including data processing using Spotfire.

  • Produce and distribute weekly reports to internal and external partners of the business.

  • Process allocations and reconcile run tickets and meter data against water purchase statements to ensure reporting accuracy.

  • Own daily cost tracking and monthly accrual meetings, including spend management.

  • Build budgets for new areas, refine them over time to reflect actuals, and reconcile budget vs. actual.

  • Participate in water related projects, working alongside third party vendors, state and federal regulatory agencies for data request and auditing.

  • Partner with Development Operations and production teams to forecast future water needs and flowback volume availability, and issue supply forecasts to third parties.

  • Track project readiness; ROW, Permits, SUAs, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at one time is required;

  • Must be a self-motivated individual with a strong drive to improve results, identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and successfully manage projects from inception through completion.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; this role will be visible in front of the senior leadership team.

  • Excellent team working ability; required to work with all Operations teams.

  • Data gathering, interpretation, and analysis skills.
