Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher (Odessa, TX)- 6th Grade

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for our client in Odessa, TX. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for education, patience, competence and the ability to create a supporting learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs. Special Education Teachers will develop individualized plans while working with a wide range of students with cognitive, emotional and learning disabilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Special Education

• Valid Texas state licensure in Special Education

Responsibilities:

• Develop IEPs for a wide range of students

• Tailor lessons to the needs of individual students

• Implement IEPs, assess students' performance, document and report on progress

• Communicate and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and counselors

• Provide in-class support for subjects such as reading, writing, and math, among others
