Summary

The Housekeeping Site Assistant Manager serves in a supporting leadership role, assisting the Manager with directing and coordinating all operational activities while helping maintain established standards and policies. This role provides day-to-day operational support, assists with staff oversight, and helps ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations, including cleaning activities, budget awareness, cost-saving initiatives, customer interaction, and safety protocols
  • Assist the Manager with customer meetings as required, helping facilitate feedback and resolve issues promptly
  • Support compliance with health and safety regulations and oversee safety training for staff as directed
  • Assist with subcontractor communication, scheduling activities, and prioritizing facility project work
  • Help manage and maintain project plans, scheduling activities, inventory levels, and delivery programs
  • Coordinate with the Manager to monitor workflow, manage service needs, and support municipal and vendor relations
  • Support service and material procurement, subcontractor coordination, contract administration, and payment processes
  • Provide backup support for supervisory tasks and operational needs as necessary
  • Assist with preparing and managing budgets, reports, and operational documentation
  • Support team development by assisting with training, coaching, and employee communication
  • Assign and delegate responsibilities to team members under the guidance of the Manager
  • Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Manager as needed

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform additional duties and provide operational support as assigned
  • Assist other departments or leadership team members as needed to support organizational goals

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a supporting leadership or supervisory role preferred
  • Focus on maintaining a safe work environment
  • Available 24/7 to address issues outside regular hours as operationally necessary
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong listening and comprehension skills
  • Organizational and time-management proficiency
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, staff, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to support team operations in a fast-paced environment
