Job Description

  

Overview

Teledyne Technologies provides skilled trades services to major corporations in North America. We specialize in research and development, manufacturing operations, plant shut downs and building maintenance.

Our skilled trades include Tool and Die Makers, Instrumentation Techs, Multi-Craftsman , Machinists, Pipe-fitters, Carpenters, Electricians, Work Coordinators, EH&S, Welders, Preventative Maintenance Technicians , Planners, Glass Blowers and others.

Summary

Formal training in Instrumentation/Electrical with the ability to operate, test, repair, maintain and calibrate electro-mechanical equipment.

  • strong knowledge in calibrating instruments of flow

  • pressure and level transmitters

  • thermocouples

  • heaters 

  • temperature controllers

  • troubleshooting 480v and below

  • repair 48ov and below

  • workable knowledge of test meters

  • install conduit 

  • install wiring based on code requirements

  • Analytical equipment troubleshooting/design and build

Qualifications

Two-year degree in a scientific field of study

  • Preferred five years of experience in instrumentation, including experience in installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing equipment 

  • Demonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature flow and pressure.

  • Working knowledge of computers.

  • Required ability to be able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manuals.

  • Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance

  • Must be able to work with various researchers in different locations

  • Must have data base experience with record keeping and documentation accuracy

 Must have current Electrical Experience

  • Preferred 3-5 years of troubleshooting experience working with 24V to 480v

  • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment

  • Preferred electrical experience with Contacts, Mods, ABB Drives and relays

  • Preferred panel building experience

  • Must have an understanding of regulatory and compliance regulations
