POSITION PURPOSE:

The OTA Clinic Coordinator shall be responsible for the maintenance of the department’s campus clinics and will act in a supervisory role for students during Level I fieldwork (clinic). The Clinic Coordinator will take direction from the Program Director and/or the OTA faculty.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and maintain clinic schedule, including room utilization, staff/volunteer utilization, and student scheduling.
Set up and maintain treatment areas.
Conduct clinics on scheduled days and times. Clinic formats will vary depending on the population.
Ensure supplies and equipment are available for clinics.
Maintain cleanliness and order within the clinic environment.
Conduct evaluation of students and/or remediation in meeting specific criteria.
Perform other duties as requested by the OTA Program Director and/or faculty.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

Initial certification as a COTA or OTR.
Current licensure as an OTA or OT in the State of Texas.
Associate’s degree.
Two (2) years of clinical experience in the occupational therapy field.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
Busy working environment with numerous interruptions.

SALARY: $25-$35. per hour - commensurate with education and experience / up to 19 hrs per week
