Job DetailsJob Location: Midway University - Midway, KY 40347Position Type: Full TimeMidway University currently invites applications for Director of Teacher Education Services. This is a full-time, 12-month staff position. The department currently offers eight Bachelor of Arts degrees and one add-on certification leading to teacher licensure for elementary, middle grades, secondary biology, secondary English, secondary mathematics, and learning and behavior disorders P-12. The successful candidate will: develop and sustain positive relationships with district partners; place candidates in P-12 school settings for clinical courses and student teaching; coordinate supervision of candidates, educators, and student teaching supervisors; collect and manage data on clinical experiences; update clinical and candidate teaching processes and documents as necessary. In addition, this person may have a teaching assignment as part of the role, depending upon qualifications. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with departmental colleagues. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who will, through their service and experiences, contribute to the excellence of the academic community. QualificationsQualifications A master's degree in education or related areas required. Prior experience in higher education is preferred.
