Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Worker performs physical work/tasks at commercial real estate building sites.

Job Duties:

• General grounds maintenance and lot cleaning
• Patches paved and flat concrete areas utilizing cold patching materials
• Repairs signs 
• Vacancy cleaning
• Pest control
• Disposes of waste at buildings (evictions)
• Repair storm drain systems and repairs drain tiles 

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for completing ground maintenance requests in a timely and proper manner. This role is also responsible for keeping good tenant relations. The Maintenance Worker works closely with Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Coordinators and Property Managers.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Valid Maryland Driver’s License with DOT 
• Ability to perform work in a safe manner
• Knowledge of routine building maintenance and repair techniques
• Drive and pull trailer 
• Ability to read site plans, schematic drawings, and building plans.
• Ability to use hand tools
• Ability to use power tools
• Must be able to work in all types of weather
• Ability to communicate with tenants and to make tenants happy in conjunction with work that is done
• Detailed record keeping
