POSITION SUMMARY

Maintenance Electrician individual in this position is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and upgrading a variety of production equipment, ranging from basic manufacturing tools to complex wire and cable machinery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work safely in all aspects of the job as a  Maintenance Electrician .

  • Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas of responsibility.

  • Perform electrical repairs on production equipment.

  • Troubleshoot basic PLC and control equipment.

  • Participate in preventative maintenance (PM) activities from  Maintenance Electrician perspective.

  • Conduct routine maintenance on production machinery.

  • Demonstrate mechanical ability to service production equipment.

  • Possess basic knowledge of large horsepower AC/DC drive systems and associated software.

  • Maintain logs, complete ISO documentation, order and track materials.

  • Wire machinery and electrical panels according to electrical prints and diagrams as a  Maintenance Electrician.

  • Collaborate effectively with other  Maintenance Electrician personnel, machine operators, and management on projects and process improvements.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–10 years of hands-on electrical experience with large industrial equipment.

  • Knowledge of industrial safety and electrical codes and regulations as a  Maintenance Electrician 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with complex mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet strict deadlines.

  • Proficiency in running conduit and wiring in an industrial environment.

  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley.

  • Computer literacy, including experience with Maintenance Work Order Management Systems.

  • Familiarity with industrial control components such as:

    • Proximity sensors

    • Pressure transducers

    • Encoders

    • Safety control systems

  • Understanding and ability to measure/troubleshoot analog and digital signals.

  • Ability to read and interpret ladder logic diagrams and electrical schematics.

  • Skilled in the use of tools and electrical test equipment, including:

    • Digital multimeter

    • Megger

    • Oscilloscope

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of:

    • Mechanical power transmission

    • Bearings, belts, and guarding systems
