Inventory-Logistics Technician
Company: M1 Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 8am-4pm (Flexible)
Position Overview
The Inventory-Logistics Steward is an entry-level position responsible for supporting inventory, logistics, and packaging operations within M1. This role plays a key part in maintaining organized inventory systems, properly handling cannabis products and supplies, and ensuring all tasks are completed in compliance with state regulations and company procedures.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Organization
- Maintain accurate inventory counts across all systems (Apex, Dutchie, Metrc)
- Assist with data entry, item creation, and verification of inventory records
- Organize and maintain vaults, storage rooms, and shelving systems for easy product identification and access
- Ensure all products are properly labeled, sorted, and stored in designated locations
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with audits to ensure inventory accuracy
- Identify and report discrepancies in counts, labeling, or product placement
- Assist in receiving, unloading, and organizing incoming inventory and materials
- Rotate inventory using FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices
- Keep inventory areas clean, clearly labeled, and compliant with regulations
- Maintain organization of bulk product, finished goods, and packaging materials
Logistics Support
- Assist with preparing orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Help stage, organize, and verify outgoing shipments
- Support daily logistics tasks including moving products between departments
- Ensure manifests and required documentation are complete and accurate
- Assist with vehicle loading and unloading as needed
Packaging & Supplies
- Weigh, measure, label, and package cannabis products (flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, tinctures, and topicals)
- Apply labels in accordance with product specifications and compliance requirements
- Assemble and prepare boxes and containers for storage and shipping
- Accurately record product weights, counts, and packaging information
- Perform visual quality checks to ensure consistency and accuracy in packaging
- Assist in operating packaging and sorting equipment as needed
- Maintain organization and inventory levels of packaging supplies and materials
- Assist with audits and tracking of packaging inventory
- Handle and segregate materials properly to prevent cross-contamination
- Process and dispose of waste materials in compliance with regulations
Facility & Sanitation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, containers, and workspaces following SOPs
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
- Ensure all inventory, packaging, and storage areas meet cleanliness and compliance standards
- Dispose of trash and waste properly
Additional Duties
- Assist with general facility tasks and organization
- Support inventory, packaging, and logistics needs across departments
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and state regulations
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with attention to detail
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
- Previous experience in warehouse, inventory, or cannabis operations is a plus but not required
